The Apple iPhone 6s was one of the most successful Apple iPhone to be launched in the market. The iPhone 6S did bring some improvements to the device, but the thing that was missing on the device was the IMEI Number. Apple stopped printing IMEI number of the iPhone on the back of the phone. So, now where to find the IMEI Number of iPhone? Here is how you can find it.

    What is an IMEI Number?

Now before you know how to find iPhone’s IMEI number, read this to know what an IMEI number is and why the OEMs are required have a unique IEMI for every device.
The IMEI stands for International Mobile Station Equipment Identity, and the number is used to identify each mobile phone.

The number is used by your Mobile Phone carrier or the network provider to match the phone to the networks, so that it can figure out who is making the calls and to whom.
Mostly the IEMI number is used by the law department to track and trace a stolen mobile. It is also used to blacklist a stolen mobile.

Now if you know the IMEI number of your iPhone, it comes in handy when you want to unlock your phone. Knowing the IEMI number and checking the IMEI status is also essential before buying an old iPhone.

There are a couple of ways to find the iPhone’s IMEI number. In this article, I have listed most of them.

The best and the easiest way to find the iPhone’s IMEI number is to dial a shortcode that will display IEMI number of your phone.

The second method is to look for the iPhone’s IMEI Number at the back of the phone.
Although, the Apple stopped printing the IMEI on its iPhone’s since the launch of iPhone 6S. You can still find the IEMI number printed at the back of the phone if you are using the iPhone 6 / 6 Plus or older variants.

So, look at the back of the phone. At the bottom, you can view the IMEI number printed in fine prints. You may need a Magnifying glass to view it correctly.

3: The IMEI Number in the iPhone SIM Tray

There is another way to find iPhone’s IMEI number and that is the phone’s SIM Tray. The iPhone SIM Tray contains the phone’s IMEI number in fine prints. So all you have to do is take out the SIM Tray using the SIM ejector tool, remove the SIM card and there you have it.

The IMEI number printed on the SIM Tray is rather small, so you may have to use a magnifying glass.
