This means that your Xbox 360 console can't play the media files stored on the computer that’s running Windows Media Center.

For help streaming from Windows Media Center, try this solution.

First, make sure that the UPnP Device Host service is running on your computer. Here’s how:

    1. On the computer that’s running Windows Media Center, go to the Desktop.
    2. Right-click Computer, and then click Manage.
    3. Click Services and Applications.
    4. Double-click Services.
    5. In the list of services, right-click UPnP Device Host, and then click Properties.
    6. In the Startup type box, click Automatic, and then click OK.
    7. Restart your computer.
Next, make sure that your Xbox console is set up as an extender in Windows Media Center:

    1. On your console, start Windows Media Center:
      1. Select Apps, and then select My Apps.
      2. Select Windows Media Center.
    2. Click Set up a new connection, and then click Continue.
    3. Note the setup key, and then click Continue.
    4. On the computer where the music files are located, start Windows Media Center.
    5. Click Tasks, then Add Extender, and then Next.
    6. Type the setup key from step 4, and then click Next.
    7. Click Finish.
    8. Try to play the media files in Windows Media Center on your console.
