How to open an Xbox One app in full screen

When you open an Xbox One app from your recently used apps, the app opens in the state that you last viewed it. For example, if an app was in Snap mode when you last closed it, the app will be displayed in Snap mode the next time you open the app.

Note Apps that are closed in Snap mode appear in the recent section of the Home screen with a small “snapped” icon in the top right corner of the app tile.

However, you can easily display the app in full screen. Here’s how:

Note The app must support full screen mode.

1. Go to the Home screen.
2. Select the app in the recent section of the Home screen.
3. Press the Menu button on your controller.
   Note The Menu button is on the right just below the Xbox button .
4. Select Go full screen.
