Netflix Error Code: F7053-1803

    If you experience the error code F7053-1803 on your Windows computer, often accompanied by the following message,

    Whoops, something went wrong...
    Unexpected Error
    There was an unexpected error. Please reload the page and try again.
    It typically points to an issue with your Firefox browser being in Incognito Mode, or to corrupted storage data. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.

    Disable Firefox Private Browsing
    1. Close the Firefox browser and reopen it.
    2. Try Netflix again.
    Troubleshoot your browser
    1. Clear browser cookies
      Your browser may be referencing an outdated or corrupted setting in the cookie file.
      1. Go to netflix.com/clearcookies to clear the Netflix cookie. This will sign you out of Netflix.com.
      2. Select Netflix Home, then Member Sign In to log back in and play your movie or TV show again.
    2. Restart your browser
      Sometimes restarting your browser can clear this issue.
      1. Quit your browser
      2. Relaunch your browser.
      3. Try Netflix again.
    Enable Firefox History
    1. Select the Menu icon from the upper right corner.
    2. Select Options.
    3. Navigate to the Privacy tab.
    4. Under History, select Remember history from the drop-down menu under Firefox will:.
    5. Close the tab and try Netflix again.
    Refresh Firefox

    Note: If you complete this step, you will lose all custom browser settings such as bookmarks, saved passwords, etc.
    1. Select the Menu icon from the upper right corner.
    2. Select Help or .
    3. Select Troubleshooting information.
    4. Select Refresh Firefox.
    Check available storage
    If your issue is still unresolved, please check how much available storage you have on your computer. You may need to free up space on your hard drive for Netflix to work properly.

    Windows 7
    1. Click on the Windows icon to launch the Start menu.
    2. Select Computer from the options on the right.
    3. A screen displaying Hard Disk Drives will appear, with information about available storage space. If you have less than 100 MB of storage space available, you will need to free up space before you can continue watching Netflix.
    Windows 8
    1. Launch the Netflix app.
    2. Bring up the Charms Bar by swiping from the right or moving your mouse to the upper right corner of the screen.
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Select Change PC Settings.
    5. Select General.
    6. Select Available Storage.
    7. If you have less than 100 MB of storage space available, you will need to free up space before you can continue watching Netflix.
    Windows 10
    1. Click on the Windows icon to launch the Start menu.
    2. Select Settings from the options on the right.
    3. Select Storage.
    4. If you have less than 100 MB of storage space available, you will need to free up space before you can continue watching Netflix.
