Netflix Error Code: F7701-1003

    If you experience the error code F7701-1003 on your computer, it typically indicates an issue with your browser's Widevine Content Decryption Module (CDM). Follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.
    Steps for Windows

    Ensure DRM content is enabled in Firefox

    1. Select the Menu icon from the upper right corner.
    2. Select Options.
    3. Select Content from the menu on the left.
    4. Uncheck, then recheck the box next to Play DRM content.
      • If the box next to Play DRM content was not checked, check it before continuing.
    5. Restart Firefox and try Netflix again.
    Update the Widevine Content Decryption Module
    Note: Anti-virus and/or firewall software can prevent the Widevine Content Decryption Module from updating successfully. Please disable your anti-virus and/or firewall software before checking for an update. Once the update is complete, you can re-enable your security software.
    1. Select the Menu icon from the upper right corner of your browser.
    2. Select Addons.
    3. Navigate to the Plugins tab.
    4. Find the Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google, Inc., right-click on it, and select Find Updates.
      • If you see the message Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google, Inc will be installed shortly, you may need to wait a moment for it to install.
    5. Ensure Always Activate is selected from the drop-down menu next to the Widevine Content Decryption Module.
    6. Try Netflix again.
    Update Firefox to the latest version

    1. Open Firefox if it's not yet open.
    2. Select the Firefox Menu icon.
    3. Select the Help icon.
    4. Select About Firefox. This will check for updates and download any that are available.
    5. Once updates are complete, select Restart Firefox to Update.
    6. Try Netflix again.
    7. If you encounter an issue updating Firefox please refer to Mozilla's 'Update Failed' support page or Update Firefox page for additional assistance.
    Are you using an official Mozilla version of Firefox?

    Custom versions of Firefox are not supported. To ensure you are using a version of Firefox that has been officially released by Mozilla, download a supported version from mozilla.org/firefox.
    Are you using a work, school, or public computer?

    The computer's administrator may have prevented you from installing the necessary software to play Netflix. Contact your computer administrator for assistance.
    Steps for Mac
