It's easy to stop your current download or installation for now, or to cancel it entirely. Here's how: While on the Home screen, pull the right trigger, and then press the A button to open My games and apps. Select Queue. Highlight the active download or installation. Press the Menu button on your controller. Select Pause installation or Cancel, depending on what you want to do. To resume an installation, follow these steps but select Resume installation in step 5. Note The steps on this page apply only to regular game and app installations, not game updates. Most game updates are required, and you won’t have the option to cancel them. Generally, updates fix problems, add features, or prepare for new Xbox Live content.
